If you’re planning a wedding at Inkersall Grange Farm and want the kind of day that feels more like a massive party than a formal event… Rosie and Luke absolutely nailed it.
They chose Inkersall because it didn’t feel stuffy. Think tipi vibes, fire pits, cosy corners, onsite accommodation and loads of space for your favourite people to properly relax. No rigid timelines. No awkward formal energy. Just a rustic countryside setting where everyone can let their hair down.
Their September wedding leaned into warm terracotta tones, dried flowers, candles and soft drapery — all inspired by the natural, neutral feel of the tipi. It was relaxed, fun and “a little chaotic” (their words, not mine) in the best possible way. The whole day felt like them: big laughs, incredible food, a dance floor that didn’t quit, and a playlist packed with songs they actually love.
They also wanted photography that matched their energy. Nothing too posed or overly polished. Just real moments, real expressions, and all the in-between bits — the chaotic dance moves, the tight hugs, the belly laughs, the slightly tipsy karaoke. Inkersall Grange Farm is one of those venues where so much of the magic happens outside the formal parts of the day, and that’s exactly what makes it such a dream to photograph.
If you’re the kind of couple who’d rather have a tequila in hand than stand in a stiff receiving line, and you’re planning an Inkersall Grange Farm wedding that’s relaxed, personal and full of personality — you’re going to love this one.

Tell us about your love story
Luke and I met online, we started talking on tumblr and after building a great friendship we decided to meet in person. I let a stranger pick me up, the moment I got in his car I immediately changed the music to something I liked and as they say the rest is history. We the same person in different fonts, our humour is identical and we both share the same interests, a love of musicals, video games and animals. Falling in love was easy.

We always knew we wanted our wedding to be relaxed and fun, Inkersall matched this perfectly, with a snug area, fire pits and rustic features. After viewing a few venues, we also knew we wanted our day to be as easy as possible, with onsite accommodation and a full day to set up prior it was the perfect choice for as little stress as possible.
The beige tones of the tipi definitely influenced our colour palette and the relaxed environment was exactly what we were looking for. I would say the location certainly helped our guests to let loose a little bit and be more relaxed and casual rather than stuffy and formal like other weddings.
We actually got married in Vegas at Sure Thing Chapel and Inkersall Grange was our 2nd wedding. We surprised our guests with the Vegas Photos and this massively influenced our theme. Both venues were perfect for us: 1. Inkersall Grange Farm met our relaxed, fun and rustic vibes exactly and 2. Sure thing chapel was exactly what we were looking for when wanting a vegas elopement, kitschy, fun and playful.
For our Vegas Elopement we had no guests, we fully leant into the vegas aspects with velvet jacket, sequin dress and cowboy boots, it was something special for us and what an experience, but for our Inkersall Grange Farm Wedding we wanted to reinforced our relaxed fun vibes, enabling our guests to relax and have fun rather than a formal stuffy setting that just didn’t match us as a couple.

Wedding Style, Theme and Vibe
When we were wedding plan we knew we wanted our wedding to be as stress free as possible, we were going to do exactly what we wanted and wanted it to be a big party, emphasis on relaxed and fun! With this tied in perfectly the rustic theme, with varied bud vases of dried flowers, flowy drapery, and warm candles.
I’ve always loved autumny colours, dried flowers and with the wedding being in September it made perfect sense. We pulled in aspects of vegas with photos from our ceremony and betting chips as our drink tokens.
Vibe: Terracotta, cream, light bull with pops of gold, with nods to our Vegas elopement.

Music Moments
Aisle song was reflecting light by Sam Phillips. The song is featured in my favourite tv series, Gilmore Girls, it is featured at a point where the two main characters realise, they are in love and to be is just so romantic and special.
Our first dance song was Still into you by Paramore; it started as the jazz version by Scott Bradlees postmodern jukebox and then changed to the Paramore version when everyone could join in. Paramore is my favourite band, and this song just feels so representative of mine and Luke’s relationship. Including the line “and on the drive back to my house i told you that i loved ya” which is exactly what happened with mine and Luke’s first I love yous.
Our entire playlist was built in advance of songs we loved and then shared with our DJ. We absolutely loved that he finished the night on our first dance song as well, it was a great way to round off our wedding.

Photography Experience
Luke and I are not the Instagram perfect couple, we barely post more than once a year and are inherently awkward people. When we thought of a wedding photographer we wanted someone who would capture the unposed elements of our wedding exactly as well as how the posed family shots. We wanted something that matched our natural chaotic vibe.
When searching for a photographer we wanted someone who matched our vibe, could offer a pre-shoot to help us get comfortable and someone that did a full day package to capture all our moments. From the first call with Adele, I knew she was the one, our vibes matched and she instantly put me at ease. I knew she was the right choice, and this was affirmed at our pre-shoot when she helped us shake off anxiety and feel comfortable.
Adele went above and beyond day of. She helped lighten any anxiety about the wedding and ensured every element of photo taking was fun and lighthearted. She was a huge cheerleader on the day making us feel confident. Every single person who came to our wedding complimented her photos and her personality.
I felt absolutely beautiful when I received the gallery, Adele captured us and our relationship perfectly and I am so grateful I found her.

Wedding Day Experience
On our wedding day we were most looking forward to the FOOD haha, we had picked all of our favourites and could not wait to share this with all our friends and family.
I really thought being the centre of attention would give me anxiety, but I loved it! Turns out planning your wedding to be everything you want it to be with your favourite drinks, favourite food, favourite songs and favourite people means you have the most fun.
My favourite part of the day was ‘the evening’, being on the dance floor with all my friends and family, dancing and doing karaoke was such an amazing experience.

Advice for future couples planning a wedding
If you’re planning a wedding right now then… stop overthinking, stop thinking about others, focus on yourselves and do exactly what you want. If you don’t want to invite them, then don’t. If you’re worried other people won’t like the food, don’t be they can get food on their way home. It’s your day!
I’d tell couples booking Tipi Venues to look at booking the onsite accommodation, ask about people being able to camp, ASK all the questions, don’t be afraid, the worse that can happen is the answer is NO!
