My Approach To Wedding Photography
had the absolute pleasure of having Adele as our wedding photographer, and she was nothing short of amazing. From the moment she arrived, she was friendly, down to earth, and blended in so seamlessly that it felt like she was part of the family. Her business name couldn't be more perfect - Adele truly is fly on the wall, quietly capturing the most genuine, emotional and special moments without ever feeling intrusive.
Kind words from Louise and Shaun 2005
Not exactly best friends with the camera? You’re not alone.
Honestly, if I had a pound for every person who told me they hated having their photo taken… I’d be going on many more holidays with the fam. I do get it, I don’t like being in front of the camera either, so I can relate, but you’ve gotta trust me and trust this little journey we shall go on together.
So here’s the good news — my approach is super relaxed and natural. I’m there quietly capturing moments while also hanging out with your squad, matching the vibe of the party, and making everyone feel totally at ease in front of the camera. Most of the time you won’t notice I’m there – i’ll be the wallpaper.
Think of me as more than just your wedding photographer — I’m your hype girl, calm energy, and unofficial extra bridesmaid. I’m there to boost your confidence, keep things chilled, and support you whenever you need it. I’ve seen it all, not much rattles me, and I’ll always be in your corner — whether that’s steadying nerves or hyping you up when the good stuff hits.
I think we can all agree – My approach is all about candid wedding photography and relaxed documentary moments — but that doesn’t mean I’ll leave you standing there wondering what to do (unless you’re one of those rare, naturally camera-confident legends). What I will do is hype you up, keep things moving, have a laugh, and get you doing stuff that naturally creates those unposed, real moments everyone actually wants.
You know those blogs that say things like “almost kiss… hold it… tilt your head… wait…” — yeah, we’re skipping all that. Instead, we’ll be walking, chatting, laughing, dancing, stealing kisses, and taking a minute to just be together and soak it all in — while I capture it honestly, naturally, and without the awkward posing.
The myths verse the reality...
It’s lies I tell you…
When people hear “fly on the wall photography,” they often imagine me hiding in bushes with a long lens — and I promise, that’s not the vibe!
For me, it’s about blending seamlessly into your day, matching the energy of your wedding, getting involved in the action, and making everyone feel comfortable enough to forget the camera is even there. The result? Natural, relaxed moments that actually feel like you and your people — not stiff poses or awkward smiles.
Looking back at your pictures and having them ‘feel’ like your day is my number 1 goal!
What I always get asked...
Not sure when to kick this party off…
For full-day coverage, I usually arrive about two hours before the ceremony — enough time to catch the nervous excitement, the behind-the-scenes chaos, the good details, and meet the people who’ll be tearing up the dancefloor later.
How will you make us not look like awkward turtles?
Easy — three simple steps:
- Before the day:We’ll do a pre-shoot where we meet up, go for a walk, hang out, and get you used to being in front of the camera. Even couples who swear they’ll hate it always say this makes a massive difference.
- On the day:If you feel relaxed and trust me, your guests will too — and everything flows way more naturally.
- Then you just enjoy it: Don’t stress about photos, the day flies by. I’ve got the documenting part covered — you just go live it.
Do you still do group shots?
Absolutely — and I definitely recommend a few. Wedding group shots are the best way to make sure all your favourite people (and family members) are captured together in one place.
Don’t worry though, I’m fast and organised, so we’ll get them done quickly, painlessly, and without the awkward hanging around. Then it’s straight back to cocktail hour and enjoying your day
We are beyond grateful to have had Adele as our wedding photographer! She went above and beyond throughout the entire day, capturing every moment so beautifully. The photos we've received so far are absolutely incredible we couldn’t be happier with them, excited to see the rest! On top of her talent, her personality and calming presence made such a difference, especially when the rain rolled in. She turned what could have been a stressful situation into something fun and full of joy, which is exactly what we needed. We’re so glad she was part of our day, and we’ll treasure these photos forever. Couldn’t recommend her more highly!"
